Hello Humans!

Hello Humans! Many of you may be wondering why I now say "Hello Humans!" at the beginning of everything to do with this blog. Well, let me tell you so you can all sleep tonight. I was going to originally do "Hello World!" because I love to travel, meet new people, and look at the world around me. But that just didn't feel quite right. I decided to change it to "Hello Humans!" because of one of my favorite video games. Yes, I am a nerd and love to play and watch YouTubers play video games. Hey, at least I admit and own it. Anyways, many of you may have heard of this game called "Undertale." You probably have also wondered why it made it into the big leagues of gaming. I mean, it's just a RPG, for those of you who don't know what that is, it is a game in the style of Pokemon. A pretty lame game from the looks of it. The story goes along these lines, You are a kid that climbs a mountain and falls down a hole. You wake up in a bed of clovers, but in a world full of Monsters. Literal Monsters. There are talking yellow flowers, funny skeletons, and fabulous robot television hosts. When you go to meet the various monsters that you run into while walking through the magnificent underground world, you have the standard RPG options, "Fight," "Item," and "Flee." But there is one other option that made this game go through the roof. The option is "Mercy." This means you can choose to do one of two (well, it's really three, but nobody likes the third option) ways to play. You either go through and Mercy all of the monsters, becoming friends with them, even the evil talking yellow flower, or you can go on the genocide run and kill all of the monsters, making enemies, and the final boss battle against the talking yellow flower much harder. I'm still in the process of my first pacifist run, making friends with everyone of the Monster Species. But I have watched gamers play both options. Anyways, my favorite Monster, from the beginning of me watching Undertale being played, is a Skeleton longing to be in the Royal Guard, who makes complex puzzles to try to catch you as you work your way through the underground world, and named after a font: Papyrus. From the moment Papyrus sees your character to the end of your first date, Papyrus calls you "Human!" So, when I'm saying "Hello Humans!" I'm meaning "Hello to Merciful people filled with Charity who loves everyone around the world striving for world Peace!" So go out there and be merciful and loving to others, and try to get a little bit closer to world peace.

This is Papyrus, along with the Undertale title. The red heart featured in the R is representative of both the Mercy option, and the soul of your character. I take the overall message of them both being represented by the red heart is that you need to be merciful to save your soul. That's also the overall message of the game.

Probably my favorite part of the game is the Date with Papyrus. You only get this date if you show mercy to all of the Monsters. Above is featured a clip from the date. Papyrus is also not in his Battle Armor, but his "Cool Dude" outfit with his famous Spaghetti on his head, under his hat. You may one day see me wearing my "Cool Dude" shirt. Stay wild, flower child.
