One of The Most Underrated Scientists. Ever.

Hello Humans! Nikola Tesla. What comes to mind when you hear the name Tesla? For a lot of you, it might be the car brand. If we are lucky, a few of you will think of a Tesla Coil (pictured below), which is this super cool conductor that splits the air into ions, making electrons jump, which creates "lightning" in the air. It's really sad that most of us don't know who Nikola Tesla is, but we know who Albert Einstein instead. Now, don't get me wrong. Einstein was a genius, but did he really invent anything that still effects our world today, beside the Theory of Relativity? But for most of you, the Theory of Relativity is something you don't encounter every day. But cell phones are. And air conditioning, and remote controls, and radio waves, and x-rays, and radars, and rotating magnetic fields. I have two words for you: Nikola. Tesla. So the next time you use your cell phone, just know you wouldn't have it if it wasn't for this incredible Scientist.

I first started liking Tesla in Physics. I mean, we learned all about energy and magnetic fields for almost a whole semester, so it's kind of hard not to wonder who the man is when you hear his name mentioned in practically every lecture. The demonstrations for these units were really cool and visual, too. My Professor was even got a Tesla Coil for the University! He was so ecstatic when he had ordered it, and was even tracking it's progress of being made, and being shipped (He kept updating our class on it, that's how I know). This sparked some interest in me to figure out who this Tesla guy was. But, I didn't see or hear much of him until this last week, when I remembered the Tesla coil, and decide to look him up. And holy cow, did I find a scientist that I love. All of his accomplishments and inventions, his memory and ability to figure out and see complex things in his mind, and his humanity and want to make the world a better place.

I hope that I can one day be like Nikola Tesla. I want to make really cool inventions and advances in Science and Technology that will change the world for YEARS to come. I also want to help people, and keep my kindness about me, while still being a fantastic Scientist. So, thank you Nikola Tesla for being an amazing man and Scientist, and for changing the world and shaping it into the one we know today.

Stay wild, flower child.
