We Thank Thee For Calculus

Hello Humans! I had a really cool experience the other day while in my Calculus class. So, at BYU-H, we get the opportunity of starting every class with a prayer. It's cool because we get to invite the Sprit in, which is the best teacher, and the greatest memory guide ever. The other day in Calculus, my Professor decided that he would say the prayer. In it, he said, "We thank thee for Calculus, and the beautiful Math that it is." Most of the people in the class giggled after that sentence, but it really struck me hard.

I mean, most of the earliest scientists that discovered things like the atom, sub-atomic particles, and physics, were Mathematicians. That is one reason why Math is so closely related to Science in today's world. But I realized that I am not thanking my Heavenly Father for the thing that I love most on this Earth: Science. We can always be grateful for the big things, like money, people, and miracles, but are we grateful for the even bigger things, that don't seem all that big to us anymore because they're apart of our daily lives? Stay wild, flower child.
