Who Runs The World?
Hello Humans! Well, I'm going to come out and just tell you the truth. STEM majors run the world. What? You thought the English, Business, and Psychology majors ruled the world? As one of my favorite co-workers always said: "No way Jose!" While they might be selling things and writing things and telling you non-sense, this may bring about short-term changes, but not long term. You think that by being fluent in twelve different languages will change the course of the world? Sorry, but no. While this is a really awesome feat, it doesn't change the course of humanity. Those who want to change the world and make it better, twisting the very reality we think we know, bending and shaping our future go into STEM careers and majors. STEM, for those of you who don't know this, stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Why do STEM majors run the world? Well, for instance, if some smart people *Cough, Tesla, Cough* hadn't thought of communication through waves, or communications without wires or connections, you wouldn't have your computer, your phone, the internet, or even the radio. If Mathematicians and Physicists hadn't worked out projectiles, we still wouldn't have landed on the moon, or yet, even gone into outer space. If Thomas Edison had given up, we wouldn't have lightbulbs.
I mean, when you're sick, you go to a Doctor. Well, that doctor was a Biology major, or a Chemistry major if they are smarter, at one point in their life. Those tall skyscrapers that we all love to look at, wouldn't have been possible if not for some Physics and Engineering majors. So, the point of all of this, is to send our some appreciative vibes to all of my fellow STEM majors. Keep up the great work, and keep changing the world, one new discovery at a time. I, one day, want to be changing the way normal people look at Science, and the whole Universe. Appreciate the STEM majors in your life, because they will one day be shaping your future. Stay wild, flower child.
